Two juniors at Cleveland High School were named as the school’s winner of the 2009-10 ExCEL Award. Those two students were Emily Dummer (left) and Marcus Manser (right). Dummer, the daughter of Tammy and Jon Dummer, is an A-honor student who is involved with concert band, jazz band, pep ban, fall play, volleyball, basketball and softball along with several other volunteer activities. Manser, the son of Nancy and Bob Manser, is B-honor student who is involved with jazz band, pep band, choir, fall play, football and baseball in addition to numerous other activities outside of school. The ExCEL - Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership - is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, who show leadership qualities, and who are model citizens. |
