Elizabeth Newman, 86 of Prior Lake passed away after a long battle with lung and bone cancer on Monday, January 18, 2010 at her home.
Born June 2, 1923 in Arago Township, Minnesota to parents, George and Elva (Millard) Weeks. Elizabeth was a member of the Prior Lake Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved gardening, puzzles, coin collecting and taking care of others. Elizabeth was a resident at the Prior Manor for the last 10 years.
She will be loved and forever missed by her children: Carol (Dennis) Welckle of Garrison, MN, Larry Newman of Prior Lake, Roger Newman of Plymouth, Paul (Pat) Newman of Mankato, Kathy (Steve) Schultz of Mankato, Gary Newman of Grand Junction, CO; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents, and grandson, Jeremy Newman.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 23, at the Prior Lake Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Inurnment will be in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, LeCenter, MN. |
