Go V. . . . . . I mean Saints! What a game.
I am still in shock over the turnovers, interceptions and what I’d call some bad referring. Now my nephew Jamie would say that both his mom and I need pro-football 101 classes but how many of you say the Saints touchdown to tie the game was in? The majority of us watching the game say the knee was down before the pylon. And how about the pass interference call that set up the Saints winning field goal? Again, the ball just wasn’t catchable. . . not even if the Saints receiver was Paul Bunyan.
The Vikings yard for yard were the better team on the field and should have, would have, could have. . . but they didn’t. Did Favre make a difference this year. . . you bet. . . will he be back next season. . . my guess is not likely. Are the Vikings a better team because of Favre and his leadership. . . I think so.
It maybe more years than we care to count before the Vikings make it to the playoffs again. . . that will depend on the quarterback and coaching staff. The potential is there as shown on Sunday even with all of the turnovers. Will the Saints win the Super Bowl?. . . no way, sorry Saints, but goooooo Colts!
