American Red Cross blood drive exceeds goal Aug. 24 The Red Cross blood drive collected 90 pts. Aug. 24th, with 88 people presenting to give blood. The goal that day was 80 units, with the help of the double reds units it went over the goal and made 90 units. Organizers thank all donors and others who helped.

Eat stand work schedule announced The Le Center Community Club announces this years work schedule. The Le Sueur County Fair opens on Thursday, August 19. If you aren’t scheduled to work and would like to help out show up at anytime that works for you. The Le Center Community Club supports many youth activities throughout the year as well as other community projects. This is their one and only fund-raiser.

Historical Society museum to receive makeover After 45 years of continuous service to the public, Le Sueur County Historical Society Museum is taking a season off for a makeover. Heading up the rejuvenation effort is new historic site coordinator, Alissa Blaha.
