Boys basketball seedings for Section 2A are set.

The Waconia Wildcats ended the Coyotes team season when they defeated them Thursday evening at the Section 2AA team tournament in New Prague 42-36.

The Cleveland girls basketball team is seeded No. 5 out of nine teams in the Section 1A West Tournament.

The Clippers (9-11) open at No. 4 Lyle-Pacelli (15-7) at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Lyle.

SLEEPY EYE – It was a 75-57 non-conference defeat for the Le Center boys basketball team after taking on host Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s Friday night.

The Montgomery-Lonsdale-Le Center-Cleveland Coyotes traveled to Shakopee to take on the Sabers last Thursday. With only four wins and two double forfeits, the Coyotes lost 48-24.
